Our team at Nevada Oncology Specialists aims to provide an innovative, caring, and cost-effective alternative to the existing practices in Clark County, and our services will be integrated closely with those of other cancer specialists. Our physicians have been practicing in Clark County for many years and have led the way for quality Las Vegas radiation and medical oncology treatments. In addition, they have built excellent relationships with patients, referring physicians, and insurers. We value maintaining open lines of communication and keeping both patients and primary care physicians involved in our patients' care.

Dr. Samlowski earned his bachelor’s and medical degree from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit and his hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

EXPERIENCE
Dr. Wolfram Samlowski is a Nevada Oncology Specialists (NOS) medical oncologist. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UNLV Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. Dr. Samlowski is an expert in treating patients with melanoma and skin cancer, sarcoma, and head and neck cancer. He is active in health economics and outcomes research and has been the principle investigator on numerous clinical research studies.
Dr. Samlowski has contributed to and authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications, reviews, and scientific abstracts. He is a member of several professional associations, including the American Federation of Clinical Research, the American Society for Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, and the Society for Pigment Cell and Melanoma Research. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Before joining NOS, Dr. Samlowski was a Professor of Oncology and Adjunct Dermatology and Pathology at the Huntsman Cancer Institute of the University of Utah. Dr. Samlowski also served as director of Translational Research, Multidisciplinary Melanoma program at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, where he worked from 1984 to 2007. In 2007, he joined the Nevada Cancer Institute as Chief of Melanoma, Renal Cancer, and Immunotherapy and was appointed Professor of Oncology at the University of Nevada. He spent 13 years at Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada before joining NOS.
Over the years, Dr. Samlowski has received numerous awards and honors. He has been named a “Top Doctor” by Vegas Seven and Las Vegas Life, “Best Doctor” by Desert Companion, and “America’s Top Doctors” and “America’s Top Oncologists” by Castle Connolly and US News and World Report. He was also named a “Healthcare Headliner” by Vegas, Inc. and “Medical Marvel” by Nevada Business Magazine.

EDUCATION
Dr. Oscar B. Goodman Jr. completed his undergraduate studies at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College and his PhD at Thomas Jefferson University, both in Philadelphia. Dr. Goodman completed his internship and residency in internal medicine, and fellowships in hematology and medical oncology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Campus, in New York City.

EXPERIENCE
Dr. Goodman is a physician-scientist. He is coming to Nevada Oncology Specialists from Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, where he has been hematologist, medical oncologist and clinical researcher since 2012. His clinical expertise and practice focus is Genitourinary Oncology. He routinely incorporates various cutting edge clinical trials into his practice.
His translational research projects center around understanding mechanisms that govern prostate cancer’s resistance to hormonal therapy. He conducts prostate cancer research at Roseman University of Health Sciences, with colleagues on the Prostate Cancer Research team, part of the University’s Cancer Research Program. He serves as an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Roseman University College of Medicine.
Prior to joining CCCN, Dr. Goodman worked as a medical oncologist at the UC San Diego Nevada Cancer Institute. Before moving to Las Vegas, Dr. Goodman worked as a Clinical Associate and later as a physician for the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology, at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Campus, in New York City.
He has earned multiple awards during his career. Dr. Goodman is a recipient of the Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and has been named a Regional Top Doctor by US News and World Report and Castle-Connolly annually since 2008. He has been honored with the title of Research Healthcare Headliner by Vegas Inc. and received the 2014 Southern Nevada Technology & Research Healthcare Hero award by Nevada Business Magazine. He was awarded the Inspired Excellence in Health Care Award by Las Vegas HEALS. He is consistently recognized as a Top Doctor by Vegas Inc. and Desert Companion in its annual polls.
He has authored numerous abstracts, book chapters, and more than 45 peer-reviewed publications. He has received peer-reviewed translational research support through the Department of Defense for his prostate cancer research.
